Etown Sweeps Triangular Match, Defeats DeSales 3-1, Downs Keystone 3-0; Emily Morris Closes in on Etown Career Dig Record

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Etown improved to 2-3 in 2003 with a pair of wins at home Saturday over DeSales and Keystone. The Blue Jays downed DeSales three games to one, and Etown swept Keystone three games to zero.

Emily Morris (Canton, PA/Canton) led Etown in kills in both matches, garnering seven against Keystone and cranking out 16 against DeSales. Morris also had 24 digs against DeSales to lead the team. Morris now has 35 digs this season, which brings the senior outside hitter's career total at Etown to 1,411. She is now just 30 digs shy of breaking the Elizabethtown College career record of 1,440, set by Liz Bishard '98.

Meghan Gowens (Pensacola, FL/B.T. Washington) had 10 kills for the Blue Jays against DeSales. Andrea Salvadge (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights) had four service aces and 10 assists against Keystone, and she led the Blue Jays with 29 assists against DeSales. She also posted 22 digs against DeSales.

Etown will return to action on the road Tuesday, September 9 on the road against McDaniel for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference match.
