18th-Ranked Drew Defeats Etown, 25-12

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference with a 25-12 loss to Drew, which is currently ranked 18th in the nation, at home Saturday. The 12 goals the Blue Jays scored was actually the second-highest total Drew (5-1, 2-0 MAC) has surrendered all season.

Liz Fretz (Parkerford, PA/Owen J. Roberts) and Jen Manns (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) led the Etown offense in scoring with three goals each. Fretz also had one assist and a single-game program record of 13 draw controls. Ally Edel (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll School) scored two goals and had one assist for Etown, and she, along with Sarah Scholl (Forest Hill, MD/John Carroll School) led the Blue Jays in ground balls with four each. Scholl had one goal and one assist, and Amanda Simpson (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen) scored two goals.

Etown will return to action on the road Tuesday, April 1 against MAC rival Widener in a 4:00 p.m. game.
