ETOWN DROPS HEARTBREAKER TO SUNY-ONEONTA, 1-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown allowed only one goal in almost 117 minutes of play Saturday. However, that was all SUNY-Oneonta needed to defeat the Blue Jays, 1-0, in a double-overtime game at Ira Herr Field. It was the final regular season game of the year for Elizabethtown.

Despite being oushot 14-7 in the entire game, and 10-2 in the second half, Elizabethtown (13-6) clung tenaciously to its shutout effort, as Lisa Blanker (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville) totaled ten saves.

The only goal came at 116:20, when Oneonta's Amy DeCharme sneaked a pass from Olga Grechka into the net.

The Blue Jays return to action at home Wednesday, October 27 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Semifinals. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
