ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown won a 1-0 shutout against NCAA Division II West Chester University at home Thursday.

The only goal of the game was scored unassisted on a breakaway by Etown's Brienne Spangler (Leola, PA/Warwick) with 30:10 remaining in the first half. The Blue Jays (7-5-1 overall) out shot West Chester 8-2 in the first half, but the Golden Rams (6-6 overall) outshot Etown 7-5 during the second half.

Elizabethtown goaltender Anna Daciw (Aston, PA/Sun Valley) made five saves to preserve her second consecutive shutout.

Etown returns to action at home Saturday, October 7 for Homecoming against Kean. Game time is noon.
