Etown Falls in Double Overtime on First Day of Jako Blue Jay Classic

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- With just seven seconds remaining in the second and final overtime period, Christopher Newport's Emily Renkin scored to defeat Elizabethtown 2-1 on the first day of the Elizabethtown Jako Blue Jay Classic Saturday. Etown drops to 1-1 with the loss, while Christopher Newport improves to 1-0.

Kelly McCauley (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) scored the first goal of the game for Etown at 51:35, but Michelle Brockman scored for Christopher Newport at 78:01 to tie the game and send it into overtime.

In the other game of the Jako Blue Jay Classic Saturday, the College of New Jersey downed SUNY-Geneseo 4-0

The Jako Blue Jay Classic will conclude Sunday with the College of New Jersey facing Christopher Newport at 1:00 p.m. and Etown taking on SUNY-Geneseo at 3:00 p.m.
