Etown Improves to 8-0 with 6-3 Road Win Over Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 8-0 overall Monday with a 6-3 non-conference road win over Dickinson College.

Elizabethtown won the number two and number three doubles matches and swept numbers three through six in singles to clinch the fictory. The number three doubles team of Emma Smith (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) and Heather Lander (Accident, MD/Northern Garrett) won 8-0, while Mel Parenteau (Marydel, MD/North Caroline) and Kristy Trimbey (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) teamed up to scratch out an 8-6 victory at number two.

Trimbey won 6-2, 6-0 at number six singles, while Parenteau posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at number three. Lander won 6-1, 6-2 at number five, while Lisa Abel (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) won 6-3, 4-6, (10-8) at number four singles for the Blue Jays.

Etown will return to action on the road against Commonwealth Conference rival Juniata College Thursday, September 23 at 3:30 p.m.
