• Canadian Government Information Site-- Reference guide to publicly available government information, maintained by the government of Canada.

• Canadian International Council-- "Non-partisan, nationwide research council established to strengthen Canada's foreign policy. • British Government and Politics on the Internet-- Key web site listings for the UK, England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, from the School of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy of Keele University.
• British Studies Web-- Western European Specialists Section, Association of College and Research Libraries. Designed to provide access to selected and quality scholarly resources in British Studies (including Scotland, Wales, and Ireland).
• Directgov-- Portal to United Kingdom public sector information on the Internet.
• Foreign & Commonwealth Office-- Large site, with official speeches and documents about British foreign policy, news, analysis, briefing papers, travel and regional information, and much information about both the U.K. and world issues.

H-Albion Discussion Network-- A scholarly site for
British and Irish history whose purpose is "to enable
historians more easily to discuss research interests, teaching
methods and the state of historiography. H-Albion is
especially interested in methods of teaching history to
graduate and undergraduate students in diverse settings."
• Londinium.com-- "Directory of London-based websites and information web site for London."
• National Statistics-- Official United Kingdom statistics site, best source of online UK government statistics.
• No.10 Downing Street-- The web site of the British Prime Minister, with news and information about the government and its programs, with an archive of speeches, plus general information about the United Kingdom and the PM's official residence.
• Office of Public Sector Information-- "Provides a wide range of services to the public, information industry, government and the wider public sector relating to finding, using, sharing and trading information."
• Official Documents-- "Official reference facility for Command and departmentally sponsored House of Commons Papers. From May 2005 onwards, all Command Papers and House of Commons Papers, as well as Key Departmental Papers, are available for free on the site in PDF format."
• Political Studies Association of the United Kingdom-- The national association of political scientists in the United Kingdom, with lots of information and data, and links to many sites worldwide.
• UK in the USA-- This site is maintained by the British Embassy in Washington to answer the questions most frequently asked in the United States about Britain and provide up-to-date government comment on current events.
• UK Statute Law Database-- "The official revised edition of the primary legislation of the United Kingdom made available online," allowing free and advanced search access to both primary and post-1991 secondary legislation.
• United Kingdom Election Results-- Maintained by David Boothroyd, with detailed election data and related information back to 1983 and summary results from 1885 to 1979.
• United Kingdom Parliament-- Information about the House of Commons and the House of Lords, including online posting of Parliamentary Publications and Records, with large archives. The current and several years of the past House of Commons and House of Lords daily debates (Hansard) are available and searchable online. The United Kingdom Legislation site is managed by Her Majesty's Stationery Office and contains the full text of all Public and Local Acts of the UK Parliament, the Explanatory Notes to Public Acts, Statutory Instruments and Draft Statutory Instruments, and Measures of the General Synod of the Church of England. Bills before Parliament tracks the progress of all current bills, available in full text.

• JPOLL-- From the Roper Center, "the only comprehensive database of Japanese public opinion data," accessible free online and with a fine search facility upon registration. The collection in English "contains more than 10,000 public opinion questions and the respective responses from Japan's major survey research sources."
• Ministry of Foreign Affairs-- Official information about Japan, its foreign policy, and Japan-U.S. relations.
• Statistical Handbook of Japan-- Official publication "designed to provide a clear and coherent overview of present-day Japan through statistics. It provides statistical tables, charts, and photographs to portray conditions in modern-day Japan from a variety of perspectives, including demographics, economic and social trends, and culture."

• China Daily-- Fine source of news in English from China by "one of the country's top news portals"-- economy, business, tourism, online education, culture, entertainment, and more.
• China Data Center-- At the University of Michigan, a "national Center designed to advance the study and understanding of China. A primary goal of the Center is the integration of historical, social and natural science data in a geographic information system, where spatial and temporal references are maintained through a relational database." Offers both free and for-fee data and maps.
• China Digital Times-- (University of California) Berkeley China Internet Project's "bilingual news website covering China’s social and political transition and its emerging role in the world [with] the most up-to-the-minute news and analysis about China from around the Web, while providing independent reporting, translations from Chinese cyberspace, perspectives from across the geographical, political and social spectrum, and daily recommendations of readings from the Chinese blogosphere."

• China Vitae-- "Resource of biographical information on more than 3000 Chinese leaders in government, politics, the military, education, business, and the media. State-of-the-art search tools facilitate research in depth, and a research library provides historical information on politics and government... Drawing on official Chinese sources, Wen Wei Publishing Co. Ltd. [in] Hong Kong provides the basic biographical information used in China Vitae."

• Two of the best link collections for Brazil are found at the sites of the Brazilian Studies Association and the Brazilian Studies Programme of Oxford University.
• American Embassy in Brasília-- Economic reports, bilateral issues, market reports online.
• BrazilMax-- "The Hip Gringo's guide to Brazil-- a hybrid between an idiosyncratic travel guidebook and an eclectic online magazine," focused mainly on travel.
• The Brazilian Embassy in Washington, D.C. and the Embassy of Brazil in London both have a lot of useful information about Brazil.
• The Brazilian Studies Programme of Oxford University and the Brazil Institute of the Latin American Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars post excellent conference and research reports, working papers, and other research aids for Brazil. Note especially the latter's Brazil Portal, "a comprehensive news aggregator [for] Brazilian foreign and national affairs as well as environmental, economic, social, scientific and political issues in Brazil."
• Portal Brasil-- English-language version of Brazilian government website that provides information and further sources on many aspects of the country.
